The 3 stars will be a blog written after each and every event of the Marblelympics. The three stars won’t always go to who won, but rather it will go to the teams that have impressed me the most in that event.
Well folks, the Marblelympics are more than a third of the way finished, and man do they go by quickly. Luckily with 8 events to go, all teams but Team Momo still have a shot at the gold and no one is out of it yet. Some teams however seem to be showing their ability or lack thereof to make it onto the podium. There is some controversy around this event, and I will have a blog on the controversy at the Marblelympics so far coming soon.
1 Star - Snowballs
My 1st star is going to Snowballs. Let’s face it, the Snowballs have basically been nothing less than a major disappointment this time round. Clearly being on home turf must not be the advantage that many have imagined. Many people may question why a 7th place team with an average run is getting one star. Well folks, they ran the course and didn’t lose their marbles. All my three stars teams this week are just teams that ran the course as a team. These marbles came out and stayed in their bobsleigh. Not only did they show that they work well as a team, they also show all the aspiring marbles at home what teamwork is truly about.
2 Stars - Raspberry Racers
My 2 stars award will go to the Raspberry Racers yet again. The Racers showed gradual improvement and were able to conjure up a 4th place finish. I stated that I wanted to see some consistency from the Racers and they showed that here. They did well, but more importantly they finished as a team. It seems like in team events the Racers are solid, so I think this trend could continue. I like the teamwork that I see the Racers putting forth. They are another great example of teamwork. Sure they were not the fastest, but they started together, and then they finished together. No marble left behind on this team. This teamwork was impressive and for that reason the Racers earned my 2 stars.
3 Stars - Thunderbolts
The Thunderbolts are probably one of the least exciting teams in the Marblelympics. Generally they are not too good or bad. In this event however, they were quite impressive. I was glad to see that they were able to take first place with a clean run. I think this showed some of the other teams out there that best way to race is to race as a team. For the Bolts, they didn’t just focus on trying to win the event by going fast. They focused on teamwork instead of trying to bolt down the course with just a few of the team members. We all know that one of the integral aspects of the Marblelympics is teamwork, and the Bolts showed us that. For that reason and their first place finish, the Bolts earned my 3 stars for what they were able to show the kids at home. Remember kids, Teamwork makes the Dreamwork.
