The 3 stars will be a blog written after each and every event of the Marblelympics. The three stars won’t always go to who won, but rather it will go to the team that has impressed me the most in that event.
My 1st star will go to Crazy Cat’s Eyes. Yes, they came in 11th overall and their performance was not bad. Personally I expected them to get around last place, but they went out there and did not let the big stage get to them. They were able to compete at the highest level and beat 5 other teams. I think this warrants the Cats to get 1 star.
My 2 stars award will go to the Hazers. The Hazers were actually able to win in the qualifying event, so a good perform here was not too shocking. They came out and competed while being a first year team. At this point the adrenaline was running through them and they were able to pull out a second place run. I think this first event will go a long way to establishing their confidence.
On this occasion my 3 stars will go to the winning team. The Oceanics have always personally been my team up until this year when I selected the Hazers over them. The Oceanics came out strong and were able to put up 4.93 in the first round and were able to move into the semi-final race. In the semi-final they were unable to win, but were able to garner a second place finish to advance. They went another 4.93 and displayed great consistency. In the finals the fatigue reached everyone, but the Oceanics battled through and went 4.96, but more importantly they won Gold. That’s why Oceanics earned my 3 stars for this event.
