The 3 stars will be a blog written after each and every event of the Marblelympics. The three stars won’t always go to who won, but rather it will go to the team that has impressed me the most in that event.
My 1st star will go to the Minty Maniacs. The Minty Maniacs were able to tie for 7th place with Pinkies and put up a decent run to get 7th place. The Maniacs are another one of those teams that cannot be trusted as they are new to the Marblelympics and their team doesn’t look to good. They earned my one star because their ability to get a top half finish early on is impressive. The nerves might get to them once the stage gets bigger, but for now I think the Maniacs will most likely be able to avoid the dreaded last place finish.
My 2 stars award will go to the second place team, for the second event in a row.
The Hazers are a new team and they have performed well in 2 individual events. This makes me believe that we have a lot of good things to come from the Hazers. I think they will be able to get on the podium at least once or twice more in this Marblelympics. My concerns with them however is that they have not shown their abilities as a team yet. As we all know, teamwork makes the dreamwork. If they can find a way to do well in curling, a team event, I think they should be given serious consideration to win it all.
On this occasion my 3 stars will go to a team that was on the 3 Stars article last week. Crazy Cat’s Eyes were able to impress me again and more importantly able to get on the podium. For many teams a third place finish is a disappointment, but for the young Eyes this finish marks the beginning of a battle to become the best. Putting up a 119.2 to edge out the O’rangers by a millimeter shows that these Eyes have a shot a making some noise this year. While I don’t expect them to get a top 5 finish, I think they can safely say they will avoid last place. Confidence is key and right now the Eyes should be feeling good coming off receiving their first medal. .
